The DISPROP Consortium
Technische Universität Berlin
The main tasks of the Technische Universität Berlin in DISPROP are the coordination of the project, the construction of two "medium-scale" wind tunnel models, as well as the implementation of experiments in the GroWiKa wind tunnel of the TUB.
These tasks are taken over by the chair of Aerodynamics and the chair of Aircraft Design and Aerostructures.
Technische Universität Braunschweig
The Technische Universität Braunschweig is represented in DISPROP by the Institute of Jet Propulsion and Turbomachinery and the Institute of Fluid Mechanics.
The main tasks are the design and manufacturing of the large wind tunnel model using numerical methods and CFD, CAA analysis of the wind tunnel data for both the medium and the large scale model.
Our TeamUniversity of Stuttgart
The university of Stuttgart is responsible for the design of the medium-scale model, the numerical characterization for both wind tunnel models and the assessment of scalability to 3D wing geometry.
These tasks are taken over by the Institute of Aircraft Design and the Institute of Aerodynamics and Gas Dynamics.
Our TeamGerman-Dutch Wind Tunnels
The German Dutch-Wind Tunnels is responsible for the large-scale experiments in their low speed wind tunnel NWB located in Braunschweig, Germany. The experiments are carried out both in the closed measuring section with higher Reynolds numbers and in the open measuring section for aeroacoustic measurements.
